Whilst Windows Home Server supports uPnp, it doesnt always work on all models of router[1] and you may need to open these ports up manually.

TCP Ports Used by Windows Home Server
Service Protocol Port
HTTP TCP 80
HTTPS TCP 443
Remote Web Workplace TCP 4125
Firefly (Optional - use with FirePlay etc) TCP 9999
RDP (Optional - Remote Access direct to your console

Also requires opening Windows Firewall on your server)
