I installed the connector minus the Growl part as it was optional. I dont seem to be getting notifications at all.

Update:

Server name doesnt work in connector
Domain name doesnt work
internal IP address seems to work

What version of Mac OS are you running? When you say "doesn't work" are you getting any error messages? I presume you've checked the documentation, I had to add a period at the end of my server name as you can see in the last screenshot: http://www.remotenotification.com/docum ... connector/

What is your reluctance with using the IP Address?

None. Well... I was hoping that I could use my www.xxx.com to see server status when Im not at home. Also if I use the name. then I dont have to worry if I change ip addresses or some reason. I just noticed it didnt work so I asked... haha

The Mac component runs on a non-standard port so you'd not be to access the service unless you also forwarded the port.

You could try a hosts file entry on your Mac to see if that forced the hostname to work.
