any interest accumulating for more fan boards? I fear I'm too late. Heres hoping this adds to the interest enough for a new batch =)

Not enough to requests justify the cost of making another batch. Norco has indicated they'll be offering their version of the 120mm fan board in their accessories section soon. Not sure what that means. However, if they do, I most likely won't make another batch.

I just heard that with the 4224 they have made them as 4x80mm boards. Which means cavdiver you might be back in production again. I know of approx 51 people who might be interested lol.

If that turns out to be then I'll definitely make more.

Cool.. I still have some remaining from the last order I made but yea would be interested in more.

Oh and FYI I think all these new 4224's have the SAS connectors in the middle!

The 4220 I bought from Norco about 2 months ago had them in the middle (See pictures)
I had to cut a hole in the centre of the fanboard you made for me. Took me ages and much heartache.
Maybe if you add a hole between the bottom of the fans and the bottom of the fanboard the cables can be routed through it.. (See pictures)

Middle SAS Connectors:

Had to cut a hole in the middle so my SAS Cables could reach...

See how the middle connectors made it pretty hard to use short or standard cables:

hehe It was a rush job at 10pm at night and didnt want to make much noise with the dremel as neighbours could hear..

havent fixed it since as it's inside a case now... Might fix it up one day. :)

Looks like the new 4224 firewall fanboard design is totally different to the 4220.

According to the pictures it is. There's no more tabs on the top and no indents on the top of the case. I'll need to completely re-design a new fan partition which means I'll need at the least a sample fan partition in hand or I'll need to get a whole 4224, which I intend to get eventually, but maybe sooner if there's a demand. From the looks of it, I might have to go with 2-140 or 2-200mm fans (don't know if 200's will fit), instead of 3-120's, but I may be able to make 3-120's work.

Seems like a few of us might be able to cut the stock fanboard and just put the 140mm in. But unsure yet. Will see once our orders for the 4224 arrive.

It appears Norco is making one that is supposed to work in all of the newer 4U cases: 120mm fan wall bracket for RPC-4224, RPC-4220, RPC-4116, RPC-4020

any chance you'll be making another batch of 4220 (old version) brackets? Missed the boat on that and not sure i trust myself to mod the one norco is selling for the newer version of that case.

I won't be making another batch, but I have a few of the old 120mm boards left. If you want one, PM me.
