Hi,

Anyone here installed W2K8 R2 on their EX490?
If so have you checked your file copy speeds?
I'm getting >40MB/ps when copying from the EX490 to a PC.
However i'm getting odd and poor speeds when copying from a PC to the EX490.
anywhere from <5MB down to <1MB.

Investigation so far:
1. Forcing the RealteK nic to 100Mb/ps gives steady 11-13MB
2. Direct connection from PC to Server gives 40-50MB in both directions
3. Messing around with the TOE settings i.e. TCPChimney often helps but enable disable of the NIC brings the issue back.

This could be an issue with the switch which I'm replacing tonight so will let you know but if anyone who has done the same thing could check their speeds i would be greatful.

Thanks,
Rob.

Well replaced the switch and now all is good with transfers >90MB/ps.

Guess there was a compatibility issue with the realtek to switch.

Anyway onward...

Good to hear, thanks for sharing your solution, I recently replaced my switch due to some failed ports and should check if performance changed at all.
