Well the fix for 2.5 was supposed to be issues "very soon". I would guess sometime in the next week or so. As far as 3.0, they said in the fall sometime. He mentioned something about October. I've been wondering if they are just going to release 3.0 as the fix.

Could somebody post a copy of this file for us? Maybe we could copy it to our system, and edit it to get this working.

I'll second this... Can someone please post the/Library/Preferences/com.hp.mss.client.plist file? If not, you can send it to me and I will edit out all the personal server information.

This has been posted elsewhere several times. this is EXACTLY what is supposed to happen. 2.5 is no longer going to be released to 47x owners but 3.0 IS. It has been speculated that this will not occur until near the END of the year.

yet another new user unable to connect from mac mini/snow leopard...tried every solution posted or linked to on this thread...seems the answer is to sit tight and wait for 3.0? In the meantime, is there some way to add my complaint to the list at HP?

Hey guys!
The culprit in my case was Hamachi running on WHS and inability of the MAc Control Center to deal with it.
I uninstalled Hamachi and have no problem setting up WHS as a Time Machine.
Id recommend you look into any VPNs you might have setup on WHS.

If you bought your MSS recently (several last months) you probably got that MSS variant with changed MAC addresses range which are not handled by the Mac software. There was and update 2.5.1 of Mac software which includes resolve of this issue. Look through the viewtopic.php?f=19&t=5556 thread to find the image with that update.

Thanks for posting that Link. Here is the working file. I just tested it on my Macbook running Snow Leopartd. I just purchased an EX485 and was getting very frustrated. Now it works like it should have the first time. Funny thing with macs you spoiled and used to things working.......all the time with no headaches. :)
