Curious is anyone else having problems with slow email from MediaSmartServer.net, over the weekend it has taken 24 hours plus to get emails. Today I am still getting e-mails from yesterday about the memory discussion. Other email seems to be arriving on time and without problems...

Thanks

There was an issue at the tail end of last week with the hosting company for the site, this may well be related. Yakuza will be able to update us on the situation when he's online.

Well "there was an issue" seems to me to suggest that it has been resolved, it's approximately a half an hour after your reply to my post. The last e-mail I have received this afternoon from MediaSmartServer.net was dated yesterday afternoon. I'm not expecting to get a notice about your reply to my post until tomorrow, and then it will be lost as it posts in my Thunderbird in yesterdays email that have scrolled off the page.

So to me it's an ongoing issue, and I'm wondering if it is limited to me or indeed others are experiencing it as well.

My host for this site had some issues late last week and into this weekend with the filers that feed the web server for this and other sites. This caused a backlog of emails, but I have been sending and receiving emails from my personal accounts (on the same mail server as this site) with no delays.

Darkone, if you'd like to PM me your email address I can do a test from my personal account to see if the delays persist.

Ok, so personal mails to Darkone were snappy, only a few minutes to arrive. However, in testing the new Wiki I sent myself a mail to a hotmail account, and it took about 12 hours. :(

I'll look into what causes delays when mails are sent via the websites, but not directly via SMTP.

I have little problem to access my gmail account. I have problem with gmail site at my home network. When i tried to access my gmail account it display my an error massage. How can i solve this problem?

I think we need a little more information in order to help you on this. If this is something to do with a problem between MediaSmartServer.net and your gmail account this is probably a good place to start. But if the problem is that you are having a general problem accessing your entire gmail account this may not be the best place to ask.

But we've been known to successfully address other problems so please describe yours in a bit more detail. Can you access your account from locations other than your home network? Please tell us more about your configuration, exact error messages, etc. and, if possible, include screen-shots. We need to know more to help you.
