Hi All-

I'm still a newbie, so have a question or 2 on how I go about creating a domain for remote access.

1) Once I create the site, I get a year before I have to pay for it? Is this limited or does it provide all links, etc?

2) When I am in "settings" on the server & go to the "remote access" section, I noticed that under "Web Site Settings" there are 3 options in the drop down box.
(HP Media Smart Server Home Page, HP Media Smart Webshare, and Windows Home Server). If I select one of the first two options, the links for my site do not
work- however- if I select the "Windows Home Server" option, then the site become accessible (and on the site there are 2 links under my Website Headline
called "HP MediaSmart Server Home Page" and "HP MediaSmart Server Webshare"- these links don't work either).

Any ideas what I'm doing wrong?

Thanks

Hey mr_sonus, when you set your page to "HP MediaSmart Server Home Page" or "HP MediaSmart Server Webshare", then enable remote access and try to test your page ... Does the URL in the address bar change to what it should be, ie http://hpserver/Home/WebShare.CC ... something or other ..?

That's what this sounds like, and if so, it's likely a bug with IIS (The web server on the MSS). What add-ins have you installed since you set up?

If the problem continues, it may be in your best interests to contact tech support.

Has anyone else seen this behavior? If so, any details would be appreciated, as that one is a curiosity for me as well.
