I am trying to bring my old mv2120 back in service. There are 2 new hard drives installed. I initialized the drives but didn't format before installing. I haven't used it for years but now that I am trying to install the drives I remember all the hastles I had years ago doing it. I get the dreaded fails on step 2 of 4. Ok I have it connected directly to my old laptop running windows 7. I have disabled the firewall. I have tried numerous times with same result. Now I am booting in to safe mode with network with same results. Any other suggestions to get beyond step 2?

Never mind. After struggling for a day on this thing I found a different program to install the software and it's working fine. Even though it has gig ethernet forgot how slow file transfers were. Hadn't use it for 10 years. :D
