So who is interested in the Kinect, think it will flop or be a big hit?

You can preorder at Newegg:

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.a ... 6874103199

or get the bundle (sans hard drive)

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.a ... 6868105044

It is due out early November right after my birthday so looks like I will be adding it to my birthday list

I'm interested, I think it'll be hiliarious to watch my then 5-year old playing with the animals. :) Price isn't as bad as I was afraid it would be either. Not sure I'll preorder though, may wait to see how it goes.

Drinking games or dare I say if the "adult" industry starts making Xbox games #-o

Damian, it's "facial recognition", and the Horizontal Hula is not one of the dances it recognizes...

I did hear it needs 6-10 feet in front of the TV to work, you can see why in the IR video I linked above.

It is more like a game of twister then the Horizontal Hula

I think between my TV and bed I maybe have 4 feet of room, but if I switch walls where everything is I would have enough room.

Hmmmm flip it around backwards and bounce the image off a mirror.
with the right bend it would give the apperant distance and fool the little gizmo.
Of course it would think your left handed.
