I built the wife a new PC. Nothing fancy, mostly for email & internet. Everything seems to be working fine, but it sounds like an aircraft carrier. Can someone recommed a quiet PSU? I only need about 350watts & under $50 if possible.
Thanks guys!
Sean

Hey Sean,

I am happy with the Antec PSUs. I have a 450W, but Antec does have a 380W which is just under $60:

I've got that Antec 380, and am happy with it though it's not silent.

I am surprised, the 430 I have is whisper quiet. Also, Antecs website says the 380 is quiet, and we know if the company says it is then it must be :^o

Oh, it's quiet, it's just not silent. :D I should admit that there is also a GPU, CPU, and 120mm case fan also running in my PC, so it could be any or a combination of those.

D & Alex,
Thanks for the suggestion! I'll look into those.

Yeah, for my HEC case I have the case fans running. The HTPC was still a little loud so I ended up replacing the stock cooler on the GPU with a Zalman, so quiet now you could hear a mouse fart
