I built the wife a new PC. Nothing fancy, mostly for email & internet. Everything seems to be working fine, but it sounds like an aircraft carrier. Can someone recommed a quiet PSU? I only need about 350watts & under $50 if possible.

I am happy with the Antec PSUs. I have a 450W, but Antec does have a 380W which is just under $60:

I am surprised, the 430 I have is whisper quiet. Also, Antecs website says the 380 is quiet, and we know if the company says it is then it must be

Oh, it's quiet, it's just not silent. I should admit that there is also a GPU, CPU, and 120mm case fan also running in my PC, so it could be any or a combination of those.

Yeah, for my HEC case I have the case fans running. The HTPC was still a little loud so I ended up replacing the stock cooler on the GPU with a Zalman, so quiet now you could hear a mouse fart
