Finally getting a chance to look at this again. It looks like I might have gotten it working. If someone else could try hitting my URL to verify, I would appreciate it. I did experience some strange errors - saying there was no media to stream, but when I Remote Desktop to the server, it shows the correct amount of songs, pics, and videos under Twonky.

I was able to set the firewall up to allow FTP and HTTPS. Apparently, I was testing using just www, and it was not forwarding to HTTPS...d'oh!

Working fine (after getting past the certificate prompts).

Thanks John. I also verified from work this morning.

Now I just need to allow the "Web Server" application when I get back home. I hadn't thought to look for that. Instead was looking for "HTTP Server" - I thought it has FTP & HTTPS, why not HTTP? Seemed kinda weird. Then this morning, I still had the U-Verse Gateway page up in Firefox, and scrolled through & found "Web Server".

Blair, when you get this all sorted, please post the details so others can benefit. :)

OK everybody, here's what I did to get my MSS working with AT&T U-Verse internet service.

1. In my browser, entered the IP address of my U-Verse Gateway: 192.168.1.254.
2. At the top of the page, clicked on Firewall.
3. In the grey menu bar that appears below the icons, clicked on Firewall Settings, and entered my password (if you haven't changed it, it is printed on the side of your gateway).
4. Selected my MSS from the drop-down list in Step 1 - Select a Computer
5. In Step 2 - Edit firewall settings for this computer, I scrolled through the list and selected FTP Server, then clicked on Add so it appeared on the right. Did the same for HTTPS Server, and Web Server.
6. Clicked on the Done button at the bottom.

Attached should be a screenshot of my Firewall Settings page showing the results of the above steps.

I think the reason I was having an issue was that I only found the FTP & HTTPS Servers, but could not find an HTTP Server. The address I was trying was http://www.carneymediaserver.com. Since I did not enable the Web Server, that wouldn't work.

Hope this helps somebody.

So now my remote access is working again, and I got iStream to work on my 1.5 week old iPhone 3GS! So I can show the 400+ pics of the cruise we just took to all our family and friends anywhere they are, and anywhere I am with my iPhone!

Awesome, glad to hear it's working for you, and thanks for sharing. That screenshot looks like what I remember when I interacted with this router back with the AT&T exec in Texas.
