Post subject:  "New" AnyDvd May not be so good anymore.

I have used Anydvd / CloneCD / CloneDvd with lifetime subscriptions for many years. Very seldom would I have a problem with AnyDvd and if I did, the next update would take care of it.
Anyone that is using AnyDvd knows the Company shut it down and now some of the coders have reopened /rebranded it to "keep it going".

This is a warning. They are charging a New Lifetime License or yearly fee that is high. And would be worth it if it still worked like it did in the past.

If you feel the need to upgrade, all I can say is use the free trial on some of the more difficult Dvd's and make sure it works for you.

It does not work for me anymore. I paid for the lifetime subscription assuming it would be the same.
I have had 3 updates and it still is not working as it did before.

Just a warning, be sure you test it first and when/if you buy, FYI, your payment will be going to a "clothing store".
GoodLuck Hope this helps.

I am going to try to completely un-install it and try again, if it begins to work I will post back, but until then, I have a non-working no money back software that use to work but does not now.

If you are one of the long term members and are/have used Anydvd and upgraded, please let me know how it is working for you... Thank you

Thanks for the update
I to have a lifetime with slyfox, now called redfox and was contemplating upgrading.
For now slyfox anydvd works fine for me. But if I have to reformat or replace my system drive
My copy with the key is a very old version.
BTW
did you try the redfox version with the slyfox key?

Yes, that was the first thing I tried when I found that there was a rebirth.
But alas, the key was not recognized.
At the time I had a new dvd that was very encrypted and the older version would not work it. So,
I assumed it would work just the same, so didn't try the trial period.
I went for the lifetime as it is cheaper over the long haul....

I did email them to ask for my money back, I knew they would say no. I read their NO Money Back policy, but wanted them to know I was not happy. :-)

I tried it again last night, won't even rip to harddrive. So now I use "WonderFox" and continue to rip to MPG.

I am going to try un-install and re-install and see if that will help, but I'm not hopeful.
But, If it does I will give them credit and report back.

OK, to give the devil his due.
I uninstalled completely and re-installed Anydvd and it has allowed me to rip two older DVDs. So it may be working like it use to, we will see when it is pitted up against some of the newer dvd's.

Just wanted to followup.

I still am using WonderFox instead of anydvd and the other ripper I was using.
Go figure I would find something better the anydvd after I paid the lifetime. lololol.

Good Luck all.
