I just upgrade to Win 8.1 Pro on my desktop and when I tried to access this site IE11 would crash. This I found annoying but to correct it I had to set this site to compatibility mode.

While I have this working now I am curious if anyone else experienced a similar issue with this site or other sites and if corrected what did you do if its different then what I did?

Interesting, did both forums and blog crash IE11? I'll try to take a look shortly.

Edit: Compatibility mode is the correct workaround for sites that cause problems.

Actually even if I put the sites main addy in IE11 would crash. I personally do not know why but setting this site to compatibility mode resolved the issue for me.

IE has been drifting from html standards for years.
Compatibility mode works for the most part.
But I find firefox works best for me.
Several forum php based sites have struggled with the issue.
