Have you tried building one? Many have done so quite successfully. This forum post will help: viewtopic.php?t=622 If you cannot build one, that's fine. You may want to provide a the city where you live since the cost of shipping may also be a factor. I recall seeing the Gen3 cable on the German eBay site so if you live in Europe, you may want to check there first to get a good deal. Edit: Never mind on the location part. If you only need VGA, that is the most simple to make and you can get parts for around $7. I made one out of an old video card VGA port with the ribbon cable. I just had to get the proper connector and move the pins around. |

Where is a good tutorial on what parts to buy and how to make one? These connectors can be purchased straight away and everything? |

I have one (I believe Gen III) that I'm willing to part with. I bought it to attach to my 485 last month and then ended up building a new server instead. So, it was hooked up for maybe a couple of hours... Let me know and we'll negotiate.
