What is broken on the backplane? Capacitor? If so, we have had success stories from several forum members who took it to a local electronics repair shop that repaired it for a few dollars.

Yup that'd be what broke off, used some super glue ) seems to be working fine, but I'd still like to replace it if anyone has one. let me know! Thanks

Good to hear you got it running. Sounds like some careful soldering will easily fix that one if you don't find a replacement backplane (tough to come by item).

Thanks for the advice, I just realized super glue breaks down under heat... and my brother is a tech student so he'll soldering them properly, so thanks again for the advice, you saved me from most likely buying a new server! ty again
