Well, after nearly a week of burning in the new EX495, I did a Factory Restore on the EX475 and have it boxed up and looking for a new home. It has served me very well since Feb 08. I'll part with it for $275 with free UPS Ground shipping anywhere in the US (refurb $475 units at HP are going for $459.) I have upgraded it with a 2 GB memory stick and tried unsuccessfully to upgrade the CPU - I was one of the unfortunate few with a EX47x motherboard that would not take a CPU upgrade. I still have the LE1640 that I'll throw in for free in the event the new owner wants to tinker with it. The machine is virtually scratch free in its original packaging, with all discs, manuals, etc... Sales will be as is with no warranty, etc... PM me if interested. |

Yes, I still have the EX475 and yes it does come with the stock drives for a total of 1 GB of space. I have it back in temporary use again after the EX495 developed some problems. My replacement 495 arrives later this week, so I should have the 475 back in it's original box and ready to go sometime this next weekend. Incidentally, it fired right back up when brought back into service.

Thanks TechVet but I've decided to pony-up the $ and get the EX495 mainly for the video conversion speed. I'm sure you'll have no problem getting what you're asking for it though. Best of luck to you. |

The 495 is a good box (albeit with a few bugs.) I'm sure my 475 will eventually find a home. |
