This forum is provided as a resource for people interested in buying, selling, or trading items. There is only one rule: * Users must have 10 or more posts before posting a For Sale ad. Hi Admin, Your forum can be a great help to the people who are interested in buying, selling or trading the Media Smart Server. What would be the procedure for trading into it? How can one deal for it? I could not understand the rule that why a user must have 10 or more posts before posting a For Sale Ad! Thanks. |

Hello Michael and welcome. My take on it is it is a simple attempt to get to know you, before we trust our money with you. We can get a feel (in theory) for you and you become an active member of the community, rather than simply someone out to make a buck on the community... |

It also makes it more difficult for those who wish to post "invalid" advertisements. If one needs to post 10 other things before adding something invalid to the marketplace the odds are one of the moderators will spot a pattern before there is a problem. (It isn't perfect but it HAS cut down on the bogus posts rather significantly.) |

Most likely that guy is a spammer, note the "bluetooth headset" in his signature. Come back in a couple days and it'll probably be a link to some crazy site. I'll leave it and see what happens, for curiosity. 10 posts for a user means you're involved enough to actually be a part of this community (in most cases, there are of course exceptions) and more likely to be a legitimate seller. |
