UPDATE 9/20/11 - Lots of message views but no PMs -- maybe $45 was too much. So I've lowered the asking price to $40 but am also willing to consider reasonable offers. Domestic shipping is still free.I am selling the Intel Celeron E3400 dual-core CPU I bought last week and ran in my EX487 for one week. There's absolutely nothing wrong with it. I originally put an E5300 in the server, which didn't work, so I bought the E3400 instead. The company on eBay RMAed the 5300, however, and I got a new one that works perfectly. And so the E3400 is now for sale...
The CPU is used -- ran it for 7 days. Intel's manufacturer's 3-year warranty still applies, and I will send you a copy of my bill of sale from the local computer shop, should you need documentation.
Also included are these NEW components -- fan/heatsink assembly (with Intel-applied thermal compound) and manual with "Intel Inside" Celeron sticker. The manual is still sealed (you have to break a small seal to open it). All original packaging will be included.
This CPU can be used in most desktops that accept an LGA775 processor, and of course the EX48x and EX49x MSS servers. It's 64-bit, supports Intel VT-x and DEP, so it should support Hyper-V and other virtualization solutions.
The asking price is $40 (USD) and this includes FREE domestic priority mail shipping. I paid $59.99 + tax. Shoot me a PM if you're interested. If you're an international buyer, I'm going to have to charge $15 for shipping...sorry. (I was originally asking $45 but lowered to $40 and domestic shipping is still free.)
Think $40 is still too high? I'm willing to consider offers!
