I'm going to give up on my WHS as I'm not getting out of it what I had hoped. It does not work as well as I had desired in a Mac environment.

I have an EX495 (and all the original disks, etc)
Upgraded CPU to a Q9550s (original CPU could be provided too)
Upgraded RAM to 4 GB (original 2 GB could be provided too)
An assortment of HDDs that could be included depending on price
- 120 GB SSD as the boot/system drive
- 2 TB Caviar Black HDDs (three available)
- Other HDDs (0.5 or 1 TB) to fill out the bays
A 5-bay eSATA Port multiplier box with the cable to connect to the MSS

What's it worth?

Well, I've decided to try again. I'm tossing WHS 2003 and adding WHS 2011 to see if it will resolve the problems I'm having.

Good for you, with WHS2011, the drive bay lights will not work because the driver is not included with the OS, it is part of HP WHSv1 x32 software. However, a member over at WGS has recently built a driver to work with WHS2011 x64. http://forum.wegotserved.com/index.php/ ... -whs-2011/
