I have an EX475 with 2 GB RAM upgrade.

I bought a StarTech USB2VGAE usb to vga adapter. Via RDP, I downloaded and installed the most current drivers onto the server, rebooted, and plugged in the adapter.

Nothing!

I suspect I need to set the mode to "primary" (it is now set for "extended"), but all the choices in the tray utility are grayed out, preventing change.

Has anybody had success using these to connect a monitor?

That's just not gonna work. You'll have to get ahold of one of these.

You'll have to open up your MSS and connect it to the motherboard itself.
