I purchased a Media Smart Server and can not get it to connect to the internet to configure my domain for routing. I have been on the Phone with HP and my routing tech support and they both keep pointing fingures. I get a message that says that Can not Connect, could not determine local IP address. I did research and Media help says i need to enable port forwarding TCP 80, 443, and RMDP TCP 4125. What is the deal with this. I hope that someone can help me with this problem.

Thanks

Ryan

Welcome to the forums, it would help us to know what model router and ISP you have. A screenshot of your Remote Access config tab could be helpful also.

Before you can consider configuring your "domain for routing", you first need to configure your router to forward the necessary ports for the MSS to access the internet. Did you read your owners manual and installation guide that explains all of this? Also, there is a lot of information on this site and others as well as the Wiki for setting up your router and web access.
