Just got my server and for the most part I love it!!! It's the best for Home Networking for sure. I only have one small problem and I am sure it's all about me!

I have a ZyXel 660 series DSL modem and a Netgear Wireless N Router model WRN834B v2. Can any one explain to me in detail how to get through these units to me server for Remote Access. I get errors saying "Verifying that your router is accepting Web site connections" No Good and "Verifying that your router is accepting Remote Access connections" No Good. Everything else seems good. I can access the server from all computer on the network just fine. I have my homerserver.com site set up ok. Just so very confusing with two routers.

I have Windows Vista Home Premium Edition

Could use some help on this problem:roll:

Here is a config for the Netgear rangemax - I'd assume they are similar

Also note that those two errors are simply verification tests, and don't necessarily mean that remote access is not working. I'd recommend you try from an internet cafe, or have a friend (or one of us!) try to access your URL from outside the home to see if it's working.

The help topics for both of those tests provide some good insight into the causes of those failures.

Thanks to all that replied. I was able to finally get this up and running as the ZyXEL Sp660 DSL Modem needed to be bridged. It took some doing but I finally got it done. Again thanks to everyone. I'll be back :D :D
