Unless I'm missing something how do you remote access other pc's on your network from the web page. It says on the web site: "Connect remotely to any of the computers in your home" but I could not find any information on configuring this or accessing this. Am I missing something or misinterpreting this?

thanks!

It may depend on what your home page is set it. I believe it is more hidden on the HP MSS home page.

Goto this page:

Code:
https://<your server domain here>/home/

In the top right will be a login button. Click it.

Enter your username and password (same that you set up as your user accounts on the server).

You sould now see a "tabbed" page layout. One of the tabs will be Computers. It is there that you can access your computers.

Make sure you have enable "remote access" on the PCs also. (Control Panel / System / Remote Tab / Check "Allow users to connect remotely to this computer")[/code]

thanks for the tips. I made the changes in the Control Panel but I still only see Home and Shared Folder tabs. I tried adding my username as a Remote Desktop User but it still doesn't work. any other ideas?

What browser are you using? As it's an ActiveX control you need IE.

Okay, getting closer now. I switched to IE7 and it appears to be working now. My vista machine appears to be unsupported but my XP machine still says "Connection disabled" I checked the settings in the Control Panel and Remote Desktop is enabled.

I'm guessing you are on Vista Home which isnt supported for remote connection.

You will need either :-

Windows XP Professional with Service Pack 2 (SP2)
Windows XP Media Center Edition 2005
Windows XP Tablet Edition with SP2
Windows Vista Ultimate
Windows Vista Business
Windows Vista Enterprise

Your connection disabled message could be caused by your firewall software so you might want to check that. Can you connect to it from within your network using MSTSC?
