Hey Guys: I just got my replacement MSS today (I had the 87 degree C system temperature issues) and decided to do the setup program for getting my TZO domain name. I followed the steps and paid for a custom name. I also got a confirmation e-mail from TZO with the information I provided.

The issue is that when I go to the Remote Access section of the MSS Window Home Console/Settings screen, under Domain Name it still shows the Status and Name as “Not Configured”.

I RDP’d into the server and checked the HP MediaServer.ini file and the information about my TZO account is there.

Any ideas on what is going on and how I can fix it.

They are AMAZINGLY helpful, easy to talk to and will probably get you up and running long before we can go back & forth with questions on your configuration details... They are, unfortunately, the exception to the poor service standards of many companies today -- an island in an ocean, but a very nice island!

All I did was run through the process again, it then showed as configured and showed my domain name.

Dunno how that will work with the fee based one though.

$100 for a domain name, privacy, and DDNS seemd a bit steep for 2 years.
