This is my thought too. Also, do you have a VOIP adapter, such as Vonage or the like?

My router is a D-Link DGL-4100. I am not using a VOIP device. I have set my router and server to static LAN IP.

try this, turn your DHCP back on, and have the router reserve the same ip address and let the server and your computers use DHCP to automatically get the IP.

I finally got the PC Restore Disc to work! First I tried the Dual Boot Beta Disc, and same problem...couldn't find the server, so here's what I did...
I have my server set to a static IP address, so I changed that back to automatically get an IP and updated all my port forwarding (which I don't think makes a difference with this issue). I then put the original disc in that came with the server...same problem...couldn't find the server. So I thought what the heck I'll directly connect the server directly to my laptop and bypass the router completely..well that worked!!! I thought I had to go through the router! So I'm thinking the first time, back in Nov. when I tried this...this is what I must have done. But everyone kept telling me I had to have the server plugged into the router and also my laptop. So I don't care how or why it worked...well I kinda do care why, but anyway I'm just so damn happy it did!! Thanks to all who gave me advice! (So why did it work? Was I suppose to have had the server directly connected to my PC the entire time?)
THANKS!!

After I set my server and router back to DHCP, the PC restore disk found the server. Not all routers have DHCP reservation but I got a new one that does. Once the server's ip address is reserved on the router, it is no longer necessary to use static ip to keep the host file entries is sync with the router.

So now I can run PC restore using the original pc restore disc, but I have still not been able to burn a bootable iso of the dual boot restore cd. I am using Roxio easy dvd and cd burner. Any advice?

To burn a bootable iso disc for PC restore, I downloaded and installed a free program called ISO Recorder. Then I just right clicked on the iso file and clicked copy to CD. It burned a bootable pc restore disc with no problem. I just tested it using on an XP computer and it correctly restored from a backup on the server.

I had been trying to get Roxio easy CD and DVD creator to burn a bootable CD of the iso but I never get it to work. That program cost about $50. Then I found a free program that worked just fine.
