My Intel NUC DC3217IYE failed and I am trying to do a full recovery. It was running Windows 10 64-bit so all the drivers are also 64-bit.

The WHS Restore software does not have a driver for the LAN port on the Intel NUC. I know a 32-bit driver is needed but I have tried every Intel network driver that I can find and yet the LAN port is still not detected by the WHS Restore software.

I then thought I'd be smart and got a USB 2.0 - Ethernet adaptor that does not need any drivers... but no... networking is still not detected... so the WHS Restore software cannot connect to my Home Server.

For the Intel drivers I have tried all the 32-bit drivers that are available for Windows XP, 95, Vista, 8 and 10. But no luck!

In the "Windows Home Server Driver for Restore" folder I can see the network driver is e1i65x64.sys, so I have been trying the 32-bit equivalents without success.

Does anyone have any ideas where I can get a network driver for the WHS Restore software that works with either the Intel NUC DC3217IYE, or the Realtek USB FE Family USB 2.0 to Ethernet adaptor?

Just to make double sure I am doing the right thing, for the USB Ethernet adaptor the root folder of the thumb drive contains files like RTNicProp32.dll, rtux86w7.cat, rtux86w7.sys and rtux86w7sta.inf.

For the Intel NUC network driver, the root folder of the thumb drive has files like e1x6532.cat e1x6532.inf, e1x6532.sys, etc.

Your help is appreciated.

Thank you.

Thats easy. Just click on the Realtek link below, pick your OS, and download
https://www.realtek.com/Download/List?cate_id=584

Better would be if you run an app like Speccy on your NUC (if it boots) to identify which NIC is being used on your Intel NUC.
