The motherboard can support 8GB of memory but WHS1 can only recognize 4GB. The Motherboard supports a BIOS and is not UEFI.

When I tried to install the system on the 4TB drive it created the usual system partition and one just under 1.8TB. The other two TB were not available.

I switched to a 1TB drive and after the second try was able to create a new WH1 System disk. The two other drives in the system are 2TB each from 2015 and 2016 so they are starting to get old.

Is There a way to configure the 4TB drive to look like two 2TB drives to WHS1?

WHS1 only supports a max of 2TB drives for pool drives
However if you assign a drive as a backup drive the limit increases.
I have tried 3TB with success.
But I have never tried 4TB.
Somewhere in the archived posts or guides is a method to fool whs1 to think a 4TB drive is two 2tb drives.
But the post escapes me for now.
I just recall it was a lot of steps to accomplish this so I never tried it.
Instead I just used the esata connection and used a Towerraid and added 5 more 2TB drives.
Then you still have the usb ports for expansion.
There are people in the past that have connected a huge number of drives using a combination of all the ports.
I recall 31 drives was the max.

Beside all that have you ever tried to copy 4TB all at once it takes forever.

BTW the max ram is more like 3.33 MB it has to do with a 32bit os versus a 64bit os not the hardware per say.

And UEFI came out years after this software and server were discontinued.

I think I found the post for >2tb drives in whsv1
