So it happened. After almost a decade of excellent service, my EX495 died. I ordered a replacement power supply in hopes that could save it....but she's dead, Jim.

I have pulled the WD Red Drives I had in it and put them in my external dock. I can see the DE folder where the data resides....but I can't open the folder to get at it.
I have managed to get some things back using PowerShell to navigate the drive and copy-item to get things off, so the info is there.

Why can't I view it and grab things via the GUI in Win10?

When using windows file explorer you need to turn on view hidden files and folders.
Select the view tab then on the right in the current view section enable hidden items.
Be careful after you turn this on because it will show hidden system files also which normally you don't touch them.
like in your c drive you don't want to edit change or delete them

Why not just grab another ex49x off of ebay, slide your drives in, and your back in business?
