So I had to restore my EX470 that I have had for almost 10 years. I used the factory restore discs and that went fine, the only problem is I can't install the connector software because it won't run on 64bit windows, and the newer 64bit compatible connector software won't connect to the home server because WHS hasn't been upgraded to a compatible power pack. Since I can't install that software I can't do the initial setup.

I'm trying to find a friend or neighbor who has a windows machine that still has a 32bit OS, but no luck so far. I can get a login screen via remote desktop, but since I haven't gone through the initial setup via connector software a password hasn't been setup so I can't login.

Any ideas? Assuming I even find a 32bit OS will the later versions be available by windows update so I can eventually use the new connector SW?

I tried installing the EX490 SW, but it kept failing. Any other way to get it upgraded to power pack 3?

Setup a link for a drop box and I'll drop the 64 bit connector in it. If I remember correctly, that will work for you without PP3.

Anyone care to confirm?

I don't have a clue on a 470.
You could always try to force updates in the connector console.
For both windows and hp.
Or run updates from the console in a remote desktop connection.
Or eventually it will update on it's own if available.
