I cannot get into the console for HP Media Home server since I am getting this error where A mxaimum of 10 computers have been connected and it cannot add another computer to it. I bought a USB to vga cable but that also does not work. All I need is to get a display, and connect keyboard and mouse to get direct access to HP EX470.

I have a lot of backup on this so I need to get into the console. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Well not sure what you are asking help on.
To access client backups you need to use the console either by your tray icon on the client pc, remote desktop connection from a client pc.
Using a direct connection to the server requires a special cable that is plugged directly into the motherboard and a jumper pin installed.

To view files on shared folders you can use the shared folder or under file explorer select networks and your server.

With that said I would try remote desktop connection.
Using file explorer select your server under networks.
Right click the server name
Select remote desktop.
You may accept to allow the connection for a bad ssl.
Allow it and add the exception.
Then login
user- administrator
Password - whatever your master password is.
Then try the console directly from there.

You may need to connect to the console with one of the 10 PC's that are on it and make sure you don't have any pc's on it that are gone (ghosts).
Unless your in a office I can't imagine having over 10 PC's in one house.

I have 9 and I am a hoarder ](*,)

But As suggested, you should always be able to make a remote desktop connection and see your data using that console.

The mediasmart does have a limit of 10 PC's so you may have to pickup another server and split the load if you have more then 10.
Good Luck!
