I have an ex490 that I just installed whs 2011 on. I installed the extra drivers so that all my lights for the drives and health operate. My problem is the bottom blue bar where the system disk is inserted is flashing blue. All my searches only bring up the health light (3rd from the right flashing) but nothing about a flashing blue hard drive bar. The other 3 hard drive bars are all solid blue. Any suggestion?. Have done all the updates and everything seems to be working as it should other that the flashing light. Thanks in advance.

Here is where I found the stuff to try and get the lights working on my win 2012E box, it is designed for whs 2011 and I never could get it to work completely, it did stop the blinking health light but I could not get the bay lights to work.
It may have been updated since then. There were like 3 drivers and 1 software install if I remember right.

The light that is blinking blue is the 1st drive bay light, not the leds across the bottom. The other bay lights are solid blue. If bay light was blinking red it would be a bad drive but can't find a thing on blinking blue drive bay lights.

The only thing I have seen is something about that drive not being registered or assigned, but not sure what that means.
Also something about having shares on that drive as well.
This is a quote from another thread::
I initially had 2 blinking drive lights until I realized that there must be a shared folder on the drive to utilize the the lights.

Here is the thread: viewtopic.php?f=33&t=10955

Good Luck
This is the last I knew about the "Lights Project" maybe it will help.
