Chkdsk runs every night at midnight on my Homeserver.

I would like to change the time that this is executed since it lights up the connected display which is actually in a bedroom.

Can anyone tell me how to change this.

It's not mentioned in the sheduled tasks, but it is an internal check of WHS I presume.

Kind Regards,

Dimitri

Well chkdsk runs usually at random.

Are you sure it is not client backups?

That time can be changed in the connector console.
It is by default set to like 12am to 6am.
It can be changed to other hours.

Also in the connector console you can make it sleep during a preset time period that you select.
If you opt for that you still will need to change the backup time to run when the server is running.
Unless your clients are using win10.
If so the backup will commence as soon as the server wakes, or the client.

Are you running WHS V1?
I did not know Chkdsk ran by itself... I thought it only ran when prompted.

Hopefully you have been able to take care of it, but would be interested to know what you found and how you fixed it.
I might help others.
Good Luck and enjoy...
