My server has been extremely reliable since the day I set it up. The only thing that I've had to do is replace the power supply, and that was a couple of years ago. No, when I open the console or RDP, I only get a blank "Windows Home Server" screen. I've tried resetting the Console, but that doesn't seem to help.

I will try a power cycle and see if that helps. I'm not quite ready to walk away from it as I love the convenience of it for backup, music and video streaming.

If this topic is covered somewhere, my apologies for bugging folks. Thanks.

You might want to install the S.M.A.R.T addin.
Just to make sure you don't have a drive that is going south on you.

I have it installed. And, yes, I have one going south, not in just my server, but also my desktop pc. Thanks for that tip. I'll get it rectified ASAP.

Great to hear it was just a reboot, and glad to hear you have smart (A must have in MHO).
I reboot my server every night, since the family doesn't use it when we are sleeping, I put the server to sleep at 11:00pm and wake it back up at 6:00am using the free (for home server) smart power app.
http://getsmartpower.co.uk/downloads/SmartPower_1_6_0.zip
It has to be installed using a remote desktop connection, but has worked for years and saved 7 hours of run time for nothing every night.

Good Luck and enjoy
