| Post subject: | HP Mediasmart server EX470 No Health light |
Long story short: Purchased from Staples as 'shop soiled' 2 years ago and took it to France. Tried to Factory reset without success (failing on steps 3 furthest point. Took drive out and erased contents.Now when I start the server I get power light and network light and no health light. I have no idea what's happening as there is no video, can I remote access with a hard drive or indeed no hard drive? How can I build the hard drive outside the server and just plug it in and everything will work? I have all the original disks etc. Please can anyone help as my next step maybe to throw it out. |

If you search around you will find many posts on how to load the servers. Direct connect with cat5 to a pc, run the server recovery cd and follow the instructions. The main OS drive is in the bottom bay. Goodluck Let us know if you get stuck... |
