Hi all

I wonder if someone could help me, I have been running a WHSv1 for a number of years to stream movies, music, back-up etc. and never had any issues with it. I now need to upgrade the storage but the system is not accepting any new hard drives. I have been told it may be a driver issue and need to remotely connect to look at the device manager screen. I can't eastblish this remote connection so decided to connect up a monitor and keyboard to the server itself.

Unfortunately when I try to logon directly to it (as admin) it gives me the following message "the local policy of this system does not allow you to login interactively".

Could anyone please help me login to the server.

Thanks.

Mark

You did say whs v1 right, I know w2012E will not let you logon as administrator, but whs v1 should let you.
I would double check that password and the caplocks because it should let you login as administrator.
Good luck

Lets get back to the original issue.
Upgrading storage!
confirm you are using whsv1
what is this installed on.ex490,ex495,home built server?
what is the drive model and size you are trying to add.
where are you adding the drive in the unit.(internal or external bay)
or swapping a drive with a larger one.
is the server showing errors.
