ok, rebooted WHS and am now "green" (golden?!)... all versions still look as I annotated above... must have been alex's oem version just needing a reboot...??

I have had that issue with the media connector.
eventually it will go away. after all the updates. But I do recall I still needed to delete all instances of the connector on the client pc and reinstall from scratch.

Again I can't say how important it is to install the SMART Classic addin to monitor your drives.
Chkdsk just does not do enough for the server software.

Thanx Ruben, agree with Smart classic, I almost panicked when I did not see it listed under addin wiki... but did find in addin board... I like the remote notification to smart phone as well... just like life. a little "preventative Mtce" is a good thing....

I have had the same problems with the connector version mismatch.
I just uninstall the connector and then reinstall it from http://servername:55000 and soon or later you will get the right one.
It seemed like I had to do it at least twice.
Half my pc's are win 7 32 bit and half are win 7 pro 64 bit, it just take some extra work, but it will get there.
Goodluck, sounds like your almost done.

That free Smart addin is a must have :-)

Just remember that just installing on top of the version did not work.
I had to goto the control panel delete all instances of the connector and re-install from scratch.
