I recently changed my router from a DIR655 to a Trendnet TEW-692GR
I can't get port forwarding to work at all from the WHS console.
I have UPNP enabled in the router but no joy.
So how do I manually enter port forward in this router?
I don't even see a port forward section.

Page 38 of the users manual has the port forwarding information. It says to click on Advanced and then Special Application. I found this by reading the Manual available on the TRENDnet Site: http://www.trendnet.com/downloads/list_ ... PE_ID=1476

Good Luck and remember Google is your friend.

I probably read it 20 times and never noticed the side note that it was for port forwarding.
Thank You.

Well the bad news is I tried it and it failed.
But I found a site for my router and WHS and it says to use the gaming setting Not the special applications per the manual.
They have many routers in the list
I already had a reserved a ip on the router for my server.
so that was the ip I set in the setting.
So for my router I used:
http://portforward.com/english/routers/ ... Server.htm
But anyone can goto the home page and look up their own router.
I guess they are like tzo.com because they offer a static ip for a fee.
But anyway. You select your router,Then select the program/item you want to forward ports for.
Works perfect.
This site probably needs to be added to the wiki.
This is the first time since I replaced my router in months that it worked and the whs console icon is green again.

Good to see you got it working. Can't comment on the software but it seems interesting for those who need help with port forwarding. I wonder if it will help my sister with her router which is a major pain in the you now what to configure since nothing you set seems to take and it sends you right back where you started. Another reason to hate Modem/Router which are provided by the Phone Company.
