Nope. I belive u. I about punched myself last night.

But.... the drives were formated. After I realized the drives were empty I shutdown the server and popped the drive in my pc. 100% empty :(

I should be able to recover the partions and files deleted its just going to be a process.

If the drives are empty then a recovery will not change a thing. Just to be sure please read the following items carefully.

(1) All storage pool drives and partitions are named DATA

(2) If you just connect them to another computer they will appear empty because the data is in a HIDDEN FOLDER NAMED DE

(3) The computer your storage pool drives are connected to needs to be set to VIEW HIDDEN FILES AND FOLDERS
This can be set in the FOLDER OPTIONS from the VIEW TAB. Show hidden files, folders, and drives

Let me know what you find.

I have hidden folders on. Even in disk management the show up as an empty drive. I'm 1/2 through recovering my 2tb drive it was able to find the partion and the files just a matter of recovery now.

OK well lets just see what happens and then deal with the open issues as they arrise after you download and install all the HP and Microsoft Updates. My guess is that you may see empty drive you mention as a missing drive. On the other hand there is a remote chance that WHS never made use of that drive but its hard to say.

Good Luck!!!

It did make use of the drives. After everthing was done I had 4 drives in the pool. With 6TB of free space. The only drives untouched where the external. I'm not worried. I will just take a few days to recover the drive the drive then I will try again with them all on.
