I post this over at mediasmart home apologies if you are reading it for a second time, it seems a bit more active over here so I'm really hoping for some help.

I have a HP X510 and an Asus N53JN laptop(win7 64)

I am trying to restore the laptop from a backup on the server and it's proving much more difficult than I thought it would be :(

I insert the HP PC restore disk version 3.0 and it runs through I get to the install drivers section and due to what I've read online I put the 32bit driver(not the 64b) that came with my Asus for the Atheros network card on the USB stick along with the folder from the server called Windows Home Server Drivers for Restore. It says that its found drivers for the network devices and storage devices and then moves on to try and find the server, which it never does it errors every time :( "A network error has occured Please verify your network connection is active and your server is powered on"
I'm finding this incredibly frustrating I really need to restore this laptop, I have the backups it just never occurred to me that it would be this hard to use the restore feature of the server.

Do I perhaps need to replace the drivers that are in the Windows Home Server Drivers for Restore folder with 32 bit versions? Or is it possible that I have the wrong Atheros AR8131 Gigabit Ethernet Controller 32bit driver if so could someone please point me to the correct one.
Any help greatly appreciated
Thanks
Mel
PS Laptop working in safe mode with networking only if thats any help

You do not have to change anything with the server but you do need to install 32 bit drivers for your NIC in your Asus N53JN laptop for the PC Recovery to work properly.
