Had to install a new system drive, recovery seemed to go according to plan. Am now reinstalling the connector software on my PC, since I uninstalled it before doing the system recovery. It was chugging along fairly quickly, but now has been sitting at 67% complete for about thirty minutes with all the lights 'breathing'. Normal, or problem? If problem, any ideas what to do? Don't want to wank the server now that I got through recovery.

Let things run its course. Even if the client software does not install you can install it from the original disk. Right now your server should be performing the initial installation, gathering updates and keep in mind this version of WHS was developed back in 2007 so it may take sometime.
