Hi,


so i now have the server up and running except.....

1) the fans are on fast
2) there is no server hardware information on the "Hardware" tab in the settings screen. There is no temp info, and no fan speeds either.

I searched and found a simular issue, where there was an ini file that was mentioned in C:\Program Files\Hewlett-Packard\HP MediaSmart Server but i could not find any ini file. Could this be the issue?????

It sounds like the reload did not take at best, you may have hardware problems at worst.
At this point it could be anything, drive/software/hardware, you can do nothing except keep trying.

All I could say is format that disk you are testing with and try again, go slow and let it have plenty of time at each step.
At least your data is safe on all the other drives you have pulled out.
