Today I have cleaned the HP EX490.
Took out the 2 hard drives to remove the dust and put them back (power was off)
When starting the media server again I got the red led indicator. Putting the paper clip as suggested for more diagnostic I got "1 aqua white, 4 red" which means "Recovery mode failed" according to HP website.
I am really frustrated and have a big fear is to loose the data. I know there are a c

My question is to know if the second disk should contain the back up of the main disk ? (I have enabled the backup in the console for various folders).

Appreciate as well a good procedure on recovering the media server

Thanks in advance for your inputs

Well, dang, you were doing a good thing cleaning and that is the thanks ya get, wow!
Stupid question, did the drives get put back in the same spots? If so, I would try another reboot.
If still no good, then you would need to pull both drives and attach them via a usb docking station are inside another pc and run checkdisk on them. It may have just been time for one of the drives to fail, but cleaning is still a good thing :-)
Goodluck
