I have the LX195 and am trying to use the server for lots of home pictures. I want to access these pictures with a recently purchased Toshiba Laptop (C655D-S5300) over wireless DLINK router (DIR-655N).

Problem I am having is when I start Windows Live Photo Gallery loaded on my laptop, the process to watch the photos is extremely slow.

What can I do to resolve? I need to give my family a method of reliablity getting access to all of our home phots. They are sorted by year, month, etc.

It seems Windows Live Gallery loads all of them which perhaps is causing the problem.

Should I buy another HP server, install a different application, something else? Any advice, suggestions would be appreciated.

Thank you.

Do you have the default drive in the server, or did you upgrade it and possibly have an advanced format drive? Is other network access fast? I'd certainly try another photo gallery app just to see if it's faster.

I have not modified anything on the server since it was purchased. It would be nice for this to run faster and not lock up as often.

It's over wireless which I guess could have something to do with it.

Guess I will have to find another photo app. Any suggestions?
