I have a sever that i bought in 2008 and now i am just now trying to set it up. My Pc has Windows 7 64 bit. I get this message when trying to begin installation.

"You can not install HP MediaSmart Server on this version of Windows"
is there a fix to this???? ](*,) ](*,) ](*,) ](*,) ](*,)

Yes, The fix is use a 32 bit (XP preferred) pc to set it up. Maybe even barrow one till you get the updates on which will then allow you to have 64 bit pc's attached to it.

When you say "I have a sever that i bought in 2008" What server model would that be ?
EX 470/475 or EX485 or EX 490/495 or X310/510 I'm guessing it is a 470/475.

Good luck getting setup.

P.S. Don't trust it to far, always have another copy of you data somewhere else, USB drive / DVD / External harddrive / cloud
