i have an HP EX 485 with 4 drives installed running power pack 3
i lost a drive that had duplicated data on it. when i replaced the drive i did not get any prompts to restore the data and i am missing many files.
is there a way to force a rebuild of replicated data to restore my files?.

If you had duplication enabled, your files should be there. Are you getting error messages? How are you determining that files are missing? Did you remove the failed drive from the Server Console?

This guide can help you if you need to troubleshoot on the drives themselves: http://social.microsoft.com/Forums/en/w ... 573697777f

You won't get prompted to restore, the data should still exist on another drive and be available from another drive. I'd encourage you to use the tutorial I linked above to see if you can locate the missing files on another drive.

i looked at the drives through RDP
there is a DE folder with folders in it but all the folders are empty so i am assuming a total loss.
is there anything i can do/check to ensure that this will not happen again?
