I just updated my version of perfect disk 11 to build 185. I have sat on the program a little as I was looking to upgrade my system drive which I have recently done. I installed the software and clicked update. after the update installed, I get a notification that theres a new add in for perfect disk 11 Build (185) when I go to avail add ins its not listed. I even uninstalled and reinstalled Perfect disk. all that got me was I had to redownload the update. anyone have any Ideas? I have the ex495.

I'm already running 185 but from memory when ive done the updates they have just installed and no Add-in to install specifically. Pretty sure it needed a reboot after the update though for it to take affect though.

So I just rebooted the server after a few days off and it still shows in the notifications 11.0.0.185 is ready to install. Im not sure what to do. I originally opened perfect disk outside of the console to do the update through Remote Desktop. I chose this way because when I tried updating it through the console I got a message it couldnt update because the console was open. if I closed the console as it was updating it would just close and stop.

Hi T-Bone,

Thanks for contacting support.

It sounds like you might have a HP server.

I have been made aware that the issue is something that HP is aware of and was supposed to be working to resolve. How a HP WHS detected applications/updates installed or available needed to be changed to more accurately detect applications that are updated/patched. As a workaround, you’ll need to completely uninstall PerfectDisk then download and install the full version of build 185 or you can ignore the message.

I'd personally do as they recommend and uninstall/reinstall. That notification is just the HP service trying to be helpful, and I don't know of an easy workaround to change the behavior.
