My MSS is working correctly with remote access externally and internally accessing my WHS WEBSITE.

My problem lies with my friends WHS. Its setup on my network as well for troubleshooting at the moment. I can use any kind of help from the Uber techs on this wonderful site. Whenever I try to log on to his webshare It always tells me wrong username / password. I have made sure of the User pass. The errors i get in the System Managment are as follows below.

Event Type: Warning
Event Source: HomeServer
Event Category: RemoteAccess
User: N/A
Computer: ZZZZZ
Description:
Event ID 2051
Remote access logon fail. User LogonFail . Currently logged on users:

For more information, see Help and Support Center at http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/events.asp.iopiop

I have googled every possible solution but to no avail I needed to ask this question here for some help.

Thank you once again.

Being able to log onto two MSS units on the same LAN remotely is not a "plug'n'play" exercise. I suspect the problem is that the system is directing you to log onto YOUR MSS, not his.

If you want to get to both of them you will need to address one with alternate port numbers and then redirect those alternate ports to his MSS in the router, mapping the alternate ports to the proper ones in the process.

Alternatively you an remove your MSS from the LAN and use only his.

Thank you very much for the quick reply!

I forgot to mention that I only used 1 WHS at a time. My friends machine which has the problem is the only machine on my network until the problem is resolved. I will continue looking into this problem until I sort it out. My WHS is fine on my network so I know it is not a port or network ISSUE.

I also found another problem inside the Management Console

Is the user you are trying to authenticate as set up as Managers in the webshare settings of the Server Console?
