The best way to setup the client connector is to:
1) rdp into the server
2) go to My Computer\C:\WHS folder
3) copy contents to a thumb drive
4) move the contents onto the client computer's desktop.
Before you actually install the connector, because your running windows 10:
1) on the client go to Control Panel/Programs and Features/Turn Windows Features on and Off.
2) enable SMB1 as well as the earlier versions of Net Framework.
Also, for new builds, a good practice before connecting clients is to run the off-line updater to install the M$ KB updates.
http://www.mediasmartserver.net/forums/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=14784This link also includes info on how to install HP updates up to v3.3. Both can be done with RDP or with monitor mouse & keyboard.
Once you're setup, just click on the setup.exe file in the WHS folder you copied to client's desktop. If you're using an earlier version of the install disk (ex47x or ex48x) you may need WHSConnector_x64.msi file that comes with all the HP ver. 3.0 disks. This v3.0 includes a version of the connector that works with x64 operating systems like w7 & w10.
I've only run ex49x which came originally with the HP v3.0 disks. So maybe Ruben or someone running a ex47x/ex48x & 64bit clients can comment if this is even an issue and if so what the work around is.
