Microsoft Activated my License key so for now I'm ok. I need to still configure server back ups. But everything seems to be running a lot smoother.

Just know when you setup the backup(s) your hard drive will be formatted so keep that in mind.

oh you mean the drive I select as the back up drive. Oh yeah that wont be an issue that drive will be blank.

So I have a question, the Realtek PCIe GBE Family Controller is for the nic card? I cant find the right update for this to make it the latest driver. I am using the default win2012e driver. Also, I need to track down the mass storage controller. Right now I'm worried about the nic card I see that Microsoft update has an updated driver but I was told to be weary of windows update drivers as they are hit and miss.

I just checked my server which also has what appear to be the same NIC as yours. Check out the pic below to see for sure it will display the driver currently being used.

I have not had a problem with this driver on my server however I was using Intel NICs using Intel Drivers but the drivers kept changing to MS Drivers which took out all the cool features that were embedded in the INTEL drivers. I pulled those cards for the time being until such a time I can get back to it but that was also in part because I was having trouble with NIC Teaming where I was able to do it easier with WHS2011.

Let me know if this helps.

Im having an issue rebooting after installing drivers or after resuming from suspend from lightsout. I am not sure if this is related to that program or not. I was having the same issue on my old install. if I force hard shut down when it hangs then reboot again everything is fine. I have a monitor hooked up to see if its throwing error, none are seen it looks like it hangs either on shut down or before bios posts.

Im also getting this error:

The application-specific permission settings do not grant Local Launch permission for the COM Server application with CLSID
{D99E6E74-FC88-11D0-B498-00A0C90312F3}
and APPID

to the user NT AUTHORITY\SYSTEM SID (S-1-5-18) from address LocalHost (Using LRPC) running in the application container Unavailable SID (Unavailable). This security permission can be modified using the Component Services administrative tool.

From a search I did it appears to be a security issue that needs to be corrected in Component Services but this is a problem I have never been faced with so the only thing I can recommend is searching for corrective action for Event ID 10016 and see how it applies to your situation.

Here is a couple links I found but am not sure if they will resolve your issue or not:

http://social.technet.microsoft.com/For ... server8gen

http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/libr ... 13(v=WS.10).aspx

As for putting the server to sleep and waking it up that's not my area of expertise as I leave my servers running 24-7. Gardian did some work on his server to correct this issue take a look: http://social.technet.microsoft.com/For ... server8gen

Whatever you do from this point on make a backup of your OS before making changes so you can at least get your server back. There is also a restore point you can set which WS2012 may not do for you automatically but you can create a restore point to get things back so proceed with caution.
