At the bottom of that link was another that takes you right to his build with what appears to be all the information you could ask for you. I believe back in Jan this year you wrote a couple things on it.

Anyway try this other link and see if its the one your looking for: viewtopic.php?f=2&t=2765

No, thats still not it Comp1962. There was at least 14 pages of this. I saved the first page as a favourite a few months ago and now there is only one. It must be the case where Jacmay has either deleted the whole discussion or the forum is loosing pages. I have tried to contact Jacmay with a PM, however, he has, as yet, not replied. Most frustrating !!!! :x

OK ~ Wow 14 pages is quite large to just vanish. Hopefully you will get a response from Jacmay with the information you desire.

I have only seen this mod done here. I have looked at it and if your good with fabriaction the mod is not overly complicated and the answers for the dimentions are with the MSS Base. When I first saw it I thought about doing it but I opted to buying a debug cable from VOV Technologies.

Are you looking to fabricate the base yourself or send out a drawing to have one made? A good fabriactor can take dimensions off the bottom of your MSS and fabricate the base no problem, they may ask to hold onto the base plate to make sure the fit is perfect. The harder part is in making the cable of which I would ask Charles at VOV to make one for you but much longer.

Jacmay has not participated in the forums for quite a while, but the article and linked forum topic are the only ones that I recall describing his mod. He gives pretty exacting details, but as I recall did not share a blueprint of the his base.

I'm almost 100% positive that the forum is not losing any data, there is no pruning that occurs, and the DB and site files are backed up off-site nightly

Hello yakuza. Thanks for the reply. I can only find one page (in which i replied to) as i saved it as a favorite. You are correct in saying that there was no blueprint for it, however, there were plenty of pictures, measurements and connections etc, which are no longer available. :? Most strange !!

By "page" you mean forum topic? There are 4 pages (by the default display order or 15 per page) in that topic, your reply is the last. It has all the information I ever saw about his MSS debug base.

Hello yakuza. Yes, forum topic. There was at least 14'ish pages in all. Most of the pages had pictures on them, that is why there where so many of them. If you have backups going back a few months, try loading them into a separate setup on your server. If you are using cron jobs to back up your DB, it shouldn’t be too much of a hassle to check it out. Its not so much that i cannot retrieve the info, i am more concerned that you may be inadvertently loosing data without your knowledge. :(

Further to my last reply, i can remember looking for the cable set that Charles makes for the EX470 and saving that as a favourite as well. I reloaded my old saved favorites into Internet Explorer and the link to that topic has also gone !!! I did eventually buy a cable set from him and been working with it ever since (excelent piece of engineering). I digress, I can also remember that there was a link from his topic to Jacmay's mod topic as well, thats how i found the mod in the first place but that just jakes me back to the page where i made a reply, like before. I do believe that "pruning" is taking place here !!!

Since this is primarily a discussion this sites functionality I'm moving it to the "Suggestions and Feedback" forum.

Without specifics it is very hard for me to ascertain what you believe is and isn't working. Can you share your bookmarks that aren't working?

Charles has 3 forum topics on his debug board, one for each generation, and all three still reside in the Marketplace (though the non-current topics have been made "un-sticky").

I'm still quite comfortable with my assertion that I'm not losing data on the site, but am willing to investigate and need specific info to do so.
